Madhukar N. Hiregange

Madhukar N Hiregange, B.Com, FCA, DISA (ICAI), Passed CISA, is a Chartered Accountant and Senior Partner of Hiregange & Associates. Jointly authored 18 books on Central Excise, Service Tax, Karnataka VAT and Excise/ Service Tax Audit, IDT - IPCC Study Material, Central Sales Tax and Goods & Service Tax - A Primer. His maiden book on GST saw two editions. He has completed another book on GST Classification and Exemption.

He is a Central Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the term 2010-13 and 2016-19 and has a vision to enhance the credibility of the profession, strengthen the professionals in practice and employment. He is the Chairman Indirect Tax Committee for the year 2016-18.

Actively involved in efforts to make the Indirect Tax laws in India simple, certain and fair and creating an awareness of the potential of knowledge of Indirect Taxes in India for the past decade and half.

Managing Trustee of Empower Education Foundation, which works for education of the lesser privileged. He believes in “Value Based Practice and Life”.

K.S. Naveen Kumar

K.S. Naveen Kumar is a lawyer specialising in indirect taxes litigation and consulting and has appeared before various Tribunals, Courts and legal forums. He also specialises in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

He has done B.Com from Guru Nanak College, Chennai; LL.B from Shri Jagadguru Renukacharya College, Bangalore; and ML from Annamalai University.

He has been practising as an Advocate since 2001 and has worked in the chamber of an eminent lawyer Sri. K.S. Ravi Shankar, Bangalore for 16 years from 1997 to 2013.

He is the Vice Chairman-Indirect Taxes of Central Taxes and Banking Committee of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI).

He has presented papers on Indirect Taxes and other topics across the country in many seminars, conferences, workshops, etc, organised by reputed organisations/institutions including ICAI, ICSI, CII, ASSOCHAM and CBEC for the benefit of professionals, general public and departmental officers. His first book titled ‘Goods and Services Tax – A Primer’ published by CCH has seen two editions.

He is a curriculum graduate of Landmark Education and has taught law and taxation in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Fiscal Policy Institute, IIM(B) and National Law School of India University.
